Terms of Service

1. Service description

Abstigan is a browser extension that filters product listings on supported grocery delivery sites based on dietary and lifestyle preferences set by the user. The extension uses automated classification — keyword matching and, for PRO users, AI-assisted ingredient analysis.

The operator is Nikolaj Mokry, Junacka 13, Praha 6, 169 00, Czech Republic ("we", "us"). By installing or using Abstigan, you agree to these terms.

2. Free tier

The free tier filters product cards by name and category. No account is required. No payment is required. The free tier is provided as-is with no service level guarantee.

3. PRO tier

PRO is a paid subscription at €2.99 per month. PRO includes:

• Deep ingredient scan — fetches and reads full ingredient lists
• AI-assisted classification for ambiguous products
• Individual toggles for all 14 EU-regulated allergens
• Non-alcoholic product detection via ABV field reading

A PRO account requires an email address for authentication. Payment is processed by Stripe.

4. Billing and cancellation

The subscription is billed monthly from the date of first payment. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal (accessible from the extension popup). After cancellation, PRO access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused days within a billing period.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of conclusion, without giving any reason.

Waiver of withdrawal right: If you request immediate access to PRO features and explicitly confirm this at checkout, you acknowledge that the digital service delivery begins immediately and that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, contact us at hello@abstigan.com within the 14-day period. We will process the refund within 14 days using the original payment method.

6. Accuracy and limitation of liability

Abstigan uses automated classification. The results are best-effort and not guaranteed to be complete or accurate. Ingredient lists on grocery sites change without notice. Always verify product labels yourself for critical dietary requirements, medical conditions, or severe allergies.

We are liable for damages only where required by mandatory law (e.g. for intentional misconduct or gross negligence). Liability for ordinary negligence is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Acceptable use

You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit the extension or its backend. You may use it for personal, non-commercial grocery browsing.

8. Service availability

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. The extension may stop working if a supported grocery site changes its page structure. We endeavour to restore compatibility within a reasonable time.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you hold under the law of your country of residence.

Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Czech Republic, unless mandatory consumer protection rules of your country require otherwise.
