* Deep ingredient scan is not available on this site — filtering is based on product name only.

Three steps, then it runs itself.

01

Install the extension

One click from the Chrome Web Store. No account needed.

02

Set your filters

Vegan. No alcohol. No tobacco. BIO. Local. Or pick specific allergens.

03

Shop normally

The stuff you don't eat just isn't there. Don't waste time on fine print.

The free tier filters by name.
PRO reads the ingredient list.

🔬

Deep ingredient scan

Scans the full product page and reads the actual ingredient list, not just the product name. Catches hidden dairy, fish fining agents, and trace allergens.

🌾

All 14 EU allergens, individually

Toggle each of the 14 EU-regulated allergens separately: celery, gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, dairy, molluscs, mustard, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, soy, sulphites.

🤖

AI-assisted for ambiguous cases

When an ingredient list is unclear, AI takes a closer look. If it's still uncertain, the product gets flagged instead of hidden. You decide if it's safe.

🍺

Non-alcoholic, BIO & local detection

Reads the ABV field directly. Non-alcoholic beer and wine (≤ 0.5%) stay visible when alcohol filter is on. Looks for BIO and local products so you don't have to.

Abstigan extension filtering grocery products

Built because I needed it.

I'm a UX designer. I'm vegan and I don't drink alco. Every week I'd scroll through Rohlik or Wolt and scan past things I don't buy: dairy, alcohol, the usual. It was stressful and slow. And sometimes I bought things I did not want to.

So I built Abstigan. First for myself, then friends got interested and now it's for anyone else who's tired of doing the same scan every week.

The €2.99/month pays for server costs and my time to keep this maintained and improving. It's not a startup. There's no team, no roadmap deck, no investor money. Just a tool that works.

Your shopping stays private. The extension never sends what you browse or buy anywhere, because I hate that myself. It runs in your browser.

What we collect, and what we don't.

🔒 Your shopping data stays on your device. The extension never sends product lists or cart contents to any server.
📧 We store your email address only if you create a PRO account. It's used for login, nothing else.
📊 Anonymous usage events help improve the extension (which filters people use and their success). No personal data is tied to these events.
💳 Stripe handles payments. We never see or store card numbers or bank details.

Frequently asked questions.

Why does the Abstigan logo sometimes appear on the left of the browser?
When you visit a supported grocery site, Abstigan shows a small blue badge in the page corner. It confirms the site is supported and filtering is active. Clicking it opens the Abstigan popup so you can adjust filters without leaving the page.
Can I change the Abstigan language?
Yes. Open the Abstigan popup and click the flag icon at the top to switch between available languages.
How can I cancel my subscription?
Open the Abstigan extension and click Manage subscription — this takes you to Stripe's self-service portal where you can cancel in one click. Alternatively, email hello@abstigan.com and we'll cancel it within 24 hours. All PRO features stay active until the end of your current billing period.
Can I report a wrongly hidden or shown product?
Yes, indeed. Hover over any product on the page and a small red button appears. Click it to report it. You can change the on/off showing of the report button in Abstigan settings. Every report is reviewed and helps improve the classifier for all users.
Can I suggest a new e-shop?
Yes — please use Send feedback / suggestion in the Abstigan settings. This is the preferred way, and messages sent through Abstigan have higher support priority.
How can I hide a product completely so it takes no space?
By default, Abstigan dims filtered products so you are aware of them but they don't distract. To remove them from the layout entirely, open the Abstigan popup and enable Hide completely in settings.
